Golden Turmeric Vegan Cookies: Gluten Free & Dairy Free

My friend was back in our hometown due to the Pandemic and we were going to have a “social distancing walk” to catch up. Since she lives in a different country, I rarely get to celebrate her birthday (if ever)! Therefore, this was my opportunity to make her something special for her day. However, with limited trips to the grocery store, I utilized what I had and crossed my fingers and toes this would work out! With lots of wishful thinking and good vibes, this “on the whim” recipe turned out delicious!

The author's inventive approach to Easter décor in the face of the pandemic's uncertainties and difficulties is shared in the blog post "Peter Rabbit Easter Tablescape" on The author explains how she used objects from her house, such as a vintage picnic basket and Peter Rabbit Easter egg hunt figures, to modify her original idea of a garden-themed table. With stacked Peter Rabbit books, a faux lavender plant, and a blue-striped tea towel acting as a tablecloth, the tablescape has a playful, carefree vibe. The author stresses the value of appreciating the small things in life and making the most of what one has. A reader's comment praising the exquisite arrangement comes at the end of the post.

  3. Melt the coconut oil and set aside to cool down.

  5. Now start combining the wet ingredients with the sugar and the coconut oil first. I used a hand mixer for about 1 to 2 minutes.

  6. Add the remainder of the wet and mix together with hand mixer.

  7. Gradually add the dry ingredients with mixer or by spoon.

  8. With spoon or cookie scoop, place on parchment paper and sprinkle with more salt before baking them for about 12 to 14 minutes. I had to do mine in two batches. Makes 18 cookies.

The (mis)Adventures of a Homesteadin' Mama offers insightful knowledge about hen egg binding. The author describes her own encounter with Betty, a duck that showed signs of being egg bound. The article highlights the role of calcium in avoiding egg binding while discussing the various causes of the condition, including infections, large eggs, and poor diet. It also provides advice on how to care for an egg-bound bird at home, such as giving it a warm water bath and using light pressure. In order to minimize egg binding, the author emphasizes the importance of eating a healthy diet, exercising, and avoiding extra lighting. All things considered, the essay offers poultry owners a useful manual for recognizing, treating, and avoiding egg binding in their chickens.
